With Laguna, you may set up as many companies as you need. Each company may have the same or similar chemicals and labels, or
each may be completely different. All data for each company resides in
just one file, making maintenance simple.
Complete, integrated accounting.
Laguna doesn't stop at chemical application. It is based on the incredible Pacifica Accounting software, for complete, integrated accounting and inventory control. Laguna includes G/L with financials, A/P with check writing and bank rec, A/R with invoicing and
billing, inventory, payroll with check writing and tax table maintenance, and the worlds most powerful report writer.
Fields and crops.
History on any number of fields, and any number of crops in each
field, is maintained permanently in Laguna. One or more crops or blocks
may be active in a field. Each field includes section, township, range and
map location, canal gate or crossroads name and fixed surrounding features
(houses, power lines, etc.). Each crop includes a block name, so several
crops can be active in a field at once. The crop maintains a map of
surrounding crops and other temporary features which automatically combine
with the field's permanent features and print on the recommendation form.
.Chemicals and labels.
Laguna maintains the chemicals and labels that you use on your applications. You input and update this information yourself,
and Laguna is not limited to the labels supported by a particular chemical
company or software vendor. The chemical record includes package sizes and
price for billing purposes, EPA number, formulation and chemical family
information. In the label record, Laguna tracks max application quantity
per acre, max applications in this season and max material applied this
season, as well as reentry times and restricted material status. Each
label lists plants and pests allowed.
The application recommendation.
The recommendation is the focal point of the system. The recommendation form is the legal notice of the grower's
intention to apply pesticides or other chemicals to a crop. In Laguna, the
recommendation record clearly identifies the location and crop, the
chemicals and quantities, application rate and dilution, environmental
factors and any related notes and comments, details of features
surrounding the crop, the names of the grower, the PCA, scout, supplier,
applicator, and persons notified at the offices of the ag commissioner,
grower, supplier and applicator. Based on label data and crop history,
Laguna prevents improper applications, and can even compute the maximum
legal application using available container sizes with no leftovers. The
recommendation form prints all of this information, as well as the text of
chemical and label warnings and instructions and standard warnings (keep
out of waterways, bees may be present, etc.). The recommendation form is
complete, easy for the applicator to read, and has a very professional
appearance. The crop record keeps a history of every recommendation
applied in chronological order. When viewing the crop record on-screen,
any recommendation is a simple mouse-click away.
Powerful, elegant reporting.
Laguna provides many standard reports and forms just
for pesticide management, including recommendations, restricted materials
use report, cannery report, label list, crop history and chemical and
application cost. The accounting and billing section includes full
reporting, financials, check printing, invoicing and statement processing.
Laguna provides an integrated
report writer which gives you the ability to design your own entomology
and accounting reports. These reports can print in any font, and can even
employ drill-down links to edit the records from your reports with a
mouse-click, just as the standard system reports do.
